How to Use Uptrend Hunter AI (5-minute walkthrough)
What this tool actually does
Uptrend Hunter AI surfaces search terms improving in rank over a selected week range. Lower rank number = higher search popularity. So if a term goes from 500,000 → 80,000, that’s a strong improvement.
Step 1 — Pick the right week range
For fast-moving trends
- Use a shorter range (e.g., 4–8 weeks)
- Goal: catch early breakout terms
For stable products / evergreen niches
- Use a longer range (e.g., 12–18+ weeks)
- Goal: confirm consistent momentum
Demo is limited (6 weeks + fewer rows). Pro gives full weeks and stronger filtering.
Step 2 — Use Include / Exclude like a sniper
Include keywords (space-separated)
Use includes to lock into a niche. Examples:
cat toothbrush
teacher gift
stainless steel mug
Exclude keywords
Use excludes to remove noise / irrelevant clusters:
iphone case charger
free printable
tutorial pattern
Step 3 — Click “Find uptrends” and interpret the table
Key columns:
- Start rank vs End rank: shows movement over time
- Total improvement: (start − end). Bigger = stronger momentum
- Weeks: how many data points exist in that range
Rule of thumb: prioritize terms that improve a lot AND end at a meaningful rank (not still 1,200,000).
Step 4 — Open the chart (modal) and check shape
What you want:
- downward trend in rank (rank numbers getting smaller)
- not just a single-week spike (fake hype)
What you avoid:
- one huge jump then flat / reversal
- noisy zig-zag with no direction
Step 5 — Turn it into PPC + product actions
PPC actions (quick wins)
- Add term to phrase/exact campaigns
- Increase bids on rising terms (controlled)
- Lower bids / pause falling terms
Product actions (bigger wins)
- Validate demand (category + competition + reviews)
- Check seasonality (is it holiday-only?)
- Build listing keywords early
Next: the weekly routine (20 minutes)
If you want this to produce money, do it weekly. I’ll write the “20-minute weekly PPC routine” article next and link it here.
